Overview

Arranging package artifacts in alphabetical order enhances accessibility and aims to enhance efficiency in locating specific artifacts. You can sort artifacts recursively, i.e., arrange the artifacts of the current package and its child packages.

This reordering process is permanent and cannot be reverted.

In this article, you’ll learn how to arrange package artifacts alphabetically via Repository Explorer’s context menu.

Step 1. Select a package and click Arrange Artifacts Alphabetically

Step 2. Type Yes and click OK

Step 3. Confirm if you want to arrange the artifacts in the child packages also

You can click Yes to alphabetically arrange the artifacts in the child packages; else, click No.

Artifacts in the selected package have been arranged alphabetically.

  • Once artifacts are alphabetically arranged within a selected package, any newly added artifact will be positioned at the top by default.
  • To maintain alphabetical order for all artifacts within a package, you must click Arrange Artifacts Alphabetically to include the newly created artifacts in the correct sequence. It’s important to note that newly created artifacts do not automatically adhere to the existing alphabetical arrangement.
