Overview

Quick Explorer in TopTeam Web is a floating window that displays artifacts available in TopTeam repository. It is the fastest method to locate any artifact in the repository and create trace links.

This article explains how to insert artifacts in a rich text field using Quick Explorer and view traceability created between the artifacts.

You can also create traceability between artifacts by inserting artifacts using the following methods:

• Using Add As
• Inserting Artifacts into Rich Text Fields

Step 1. To insert a link in a rich text field of an artifact, click the icon > select Using Quick Explorer

Step 2. Next, select artifacts in Quick Explorer to insert into the rich text field of the artifact

Step 3. Selected Artifacts are inserted into the rich text field

Step 4. Traceability links between artifacts will be added based on the conditions as listed below

• When either Upstream/Downstream traceability linking rule is defined between artifact types. In that case, a traceability link will be created between artifacts that is defined between the record types.
• When both Upstream and Downstream traceability linking rules are defined between artifacts. In that case, a downstream traceability link will be created between artifacts.
• When no traceability linking rule is defined between the artifacts. In that case, no traceability linking rule is defined between the record types.
