Author license is a primary license that provides access to the full functionality of TopTeam platform.
Users with Author licenses can:
Collaborator license provides functionality to collaborate with Authors in performing reviews & approvals, participating in discussions, raising issues, accessing repository, etc.
Users with Collaborator licenses can:
Yes. You can assign a Named user license to another person when the original assignee is transferred to another department, leaves the organization or no longer uses the application.
In general Named user licenses are not intended for frequent license transfers. If you have a dynamically changing team, you should use Concurrent user license.
You can transfer a Named user license to different persons up to three times, after which you need to contact TechnoSolutions Support to re-enable license transfer for that license.
Viewer License provides read-only access to TopTeam repository.
Users with Viewer licenses can:
In TopTeam On-Premise, each type of license (e.g. Author user license) is available for purchase as Named or Concurrent (also known as Floating) license.
Named License
A Named license can be assigned to a specific person (user account) and enables that specific user to login and use TopTeam functionality.
Concurrent License (Floating License)
A Concurrent license is not assigned to any particular person (user account), i.e. it’s a “floating” license. When a user logs in to TopTeam they consume an available Concurrent (floating) license. When a second user logs in, they consume the second Concurrent license and so on until all Concurrent licenses are exhausted.
When all Concurrent licenses have been consumed by logged in users, the next user who tries to log in gets a message to the effect of “All Concurrent licenses are in use” and that user is unable to login.
An “in-use” Concurrent license is automatically released for other users when the current user using that license logs our or times out of the system.
Following types of licenses are available for TopTeam:
Author License – for users that need to author repository artifacts. Typically Business Analysis, Requirements Engineers, System Architects, etc.
Collaborator License – for users that need to collaborate with authors, access repository and review artifacts etc. Typically Business Stakeholders, Developers, etc.
Viewer License – for users that need read-only access to TopTeam repository
