Overview
In Review Packages, you can specify if you want Approval Requests to be created against artifacts as either Package specific or Project specific. By default, it is set as Package Specific
In this article, you’ll learn how to configure Approval Requests setting for Review Packages using TopTeam Desktop App.
Prerequisites
You need System Administrator permission to perform this operation.
Step 1. In a project, go to the Administration section of TopTeam Desktop App
Step 2. Click Configure System Wide Settings
Step 3. Click Configure Global Settings
Step 4. Select Review Packages and specify if you want Approval Requests to be created against Package or Project
1. Package Specific
- When you select Package specific mode for Approval Requests, the Review Progress and calculation of Approved or Not Approved Status will be done at package level, independent of Approval Requests sent for the artifacts from another package.
- Meaning, the Review Progress and Review Status of artifacts will display specific to the current package only.
- If the same artifacts are also included in another Review Package, their Review Statuses and Review Progress will not display in the current Review Package and vice versa.
2. Project Specific
- When you select Project specific mode for Approval Requests, the Review Progress and calculation of Approved or Not Approved Status will be done at project level, and will consider all the Approval Requests sent for the artifacts from all packages in the system.
- Meaning, the Review Progress and Review Status of artifacts will display based on all the Review Packages of a project.
- If the current project’s artifacts are included in multiple Review Packages in the same project, the Review Statuses and Review Progress of the artifacts displayed in all the Review Packages would be the same.
