  • Processor: Quad Core 2.x
  • Memory: 8+ GB Ram
  • Network: 1 Gigabit NIC
Disk Space required during installation
  • TopTeam Application Server: 50 MB for installation of program files.
Disk Space required during usage
  • Size of the User Data Files Folder and Database Files will increase with your usage of TopTeam repository.
  • It’s recommended that you keep at least 5 GB of free disk space for these.

NOTE: Both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows are supported.

Tips for better performance:

Application Server and Web Server should be installed on separate computers.

What are the prerequisites for installing TopTeam Application Server?

Database Requirements:

Refer to the article Database Requirements for TopTeam Repository.

If database server (SQL Server) is on another computer, ensure that it is accessible from the computer on which you want to install TopTeam Application Server.

Security Settings:

  • TopTeam Application Server should have read and write access on its installation folder.
  • TopTeam Application Server should have read and write access on the User Data Files Folder on the same or another computer.
  • If TopTeam Application Server for Embedded Database is used, ensure that TopTeam Application Server has read and write access on the TopTeam Database Files Folder.
  • When TopTeam Application Server is installed as a Windows Service, ensure that the above security privileges are available to the credentials under which TopTeam Application Server Service is running.

Firewall Settings:

1. TopTeam Application Server and its utility services need to access TopTeam repository installed on database servers. The Database Engine listens on a specific port as per the database used. Ensure that the firewall allows network traffic on this database port.

  • Microsoft SQL Server: 1433 (by default)

3. Contact your Database Administrator for the exact port number for your database engine.

  • Email services of TopTeam Application Server require SMTP and POP3/IMAP access to your corporate email server to process email discussions, notifications, etc. These services are, however, optional. If you want to configure them, ensure that the email server is accessible from the computer on which TopTeam Application Server will be installed.
