Overview

Easily view the location of an artifact in the repository from various modules using Record Location Widget. This feature is handy when you want to quickly know the location of an artifact in an editor where the artifact is displayed without its parent hierarchy.

Viewing Location of an Artifact using Record Location Widget

The Record Location Widget (icon) is displayed next to the artifact’s name or in the right-click menu of an artifact.

You can access the Record Location Widget through a variety of editors and interfaces. To view the complete list of editors and interfaces where it is available, click here.

1. Using Record Location Widget icon

In editors such as List editor, Traceability Explorer, etc., you can click the Record Location Widget icon on the left side of an artifact name.

2. Using right-click menu

In interfaces/editors where right-click menu is available such as List editor, Global Search, Traceability Explorer, Traceability Widget, etc.

You can right-click an artifact and select Show Record Location.

3. Using Record Location Widget icon next to an artifact’s name or ID

You can view the Record Location Widget icon next to the artifact’s name or ID, such as in the Comments Stream, Traceability Widget, etc.
